Oh cool...that's really good to know!Oh, I should’ve recognized the wrap, I have those same tapes on my fretless Hannie (the one you played)! They are fantastic, I really love em. Nice organic tone, and not too “plastic” sounding…

Thanks, Jake! Man is it amazing to get to work with Martin on these basses. Has been many years of searching.Bro that is outrageous! What an insane pair of basses. Cant wait to hear the fretless, congrats Andy!
I think I need to take that photo down...hahaha....have had a few people ask me the same question. It's just the new fretless being closer to me when I took it, and then the aweful distortion from my lame old cel phone. Same size, except the fretless is slightly less deep. It really turned out to be a beauty!Hey @emjazz is it just the picture angle or is the body size much larger in your fretless? Sounds amazing! Congratulations. Can’t wait to put in more time with mine.
I'll just put this here.....

Martin just commented the other day that with the flats it plays and sounds like a bass jazz guitar....and it really does. Just perfect. Two beautiful instruments! The fretted one looks like my dream concept of combining a classical guitar with an electric bass guitar. Enjoy them both!

Ha! It's the semi hollow body with the shorter scale and the flats. It just works for that thing. I really couldn't be happier with it. No hyperbole, just so grateful it's all worked out.Now you're killing me.![]()

This in a 32" scale tuned EADGCF...
I thought that was the setup for this bass, no? If I get another from Martin, I'll go with this tuning and scale length.
I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that these were both 33" scale and tuned BEADGC.
I'd love to see you get that instrument! What would your other specifications be?
