I like those. I am partial to the J/MM - great tone.

Someone should custom order a bass bass from one of the custom builders kind-of like an OCC bike. A cool instrument shaped life a fish (without the slime and smell!).

Did any of you see the OCC Bass Pro bike?

What's the history on the 'Stang, that's a cool axe.

Bought it in bits off ebay...:

Body £50 (unused '77 Fender factory "finish tester" body)
Original bridge ('73) £60
Pickup ('72) £50
Pickguard £45-60 (new - plus some screws)
Original control plate ('78 - lost along with original bridge at time of assembly so not used) £25
Decal £20 (not used...)
Tuners ('73) £50
REAL "mustang" neck ('72) - £150

Guitar tech work £170 for 2 complete assemblys + strings

= one RATHER expensive sub-par toilet seat!!!

(its not THAT bad...but its far from that "one special bass" I was gonna put together myself
- if ONLY I'd not lost that bridge and control plate...! It was a real ripoff...but I've learned my lesson - "Don't buy bass bits on Ebay with the idea of building your own "vintage" bass...")
