She's a cutie all right! She even had her party dress on for the occasion...
My (2nd user) Deep 5 came with LaBella tapes on it and the owners booklet specifies "La Bella 760n (X-long)".
The scale length on my D string is about 34 1/4. If Rob adds just 3/4 to make the 35" then you'll be okay because there is just about 3/4" of tape beyond the nut on my B-string before you hit silk. I don't know what LaBellas production tolerances are like ... if the length of the string to the silk varies by +/- 1/4 then you may just hit problems.

You can't have mine. Every time I play it I bruise my chin from it smacking on the ground. It is ridiculously good.
As for the "previously owned" RA thing, I have to agree. I had my first RA on order and found a fretless MB-2 5-string in TB. Bought that to play while waiting for my bass to be built. Got my Deep 5, sold the MB-2 so another TB'er could find the joy of a "pre-owned" RA. Then found a fretted Mouse while waiting for my fretted Mouse to be built. That should be up for sale soon (hopefully tomorrow) as my new Mouse is imminent. And last night just found another "pre-owned" specimen that is now en-route. We'll see how the next week goes...
So, I think I might get a 34" scale neck from Rob and switch my MB2 5 string to high C tuning and add a Hipshot D tuner on the E string.

I can say that is something I probably wouldn't do
Long story short, since I ordered it, I've become much more of a 6 string player. If I remove the low B, I can get a little more depth by switching to 34" scale and use woods like walnut or mahogany. I've thought about getting a 34" scale high C Deep 5, but I'd need to probably sell my MB2 and i can't quite bring myself to doing that. A 5 string with a hipshot seems almost as good as a 6er .
I can't imagine the whole high C thing - I'm just now starting to key more off the G string as opposed to the lowest string (to deal with swapping between 4 and 5) so my brain would explode. As for the B, it really just depends on how you use it. I've been pleasantly surprised at my ability to pick up the 4 and be fine on all but a few songs. There are some tunes though that I've integrated the B string into my approach even though I'm not playing anything below E. I will admit that I have to concentrate when swapping between 4 and 5 within a set. I've never had a hipshot on a bass, but will next week so that'll be another experiment...
My 6 string has a phenominal C string, even at 35" scale. No gripe with the B string, other than how the maple and 35" scale tend to add a little bite to the big picture, but it's needed to keep the B sounding nice and articulate.
Given that I already have a nice 6, the overall utility of my 5 seems to be slightly diminished compared to the 6. I would probably keep the 5 string tuned to dropped D. Combined with a high C, there are some interesting harmonic chord combos that work well in D.
I can say that I'm a believer in 35" scale on a RA. At least on my Deep 5. All the strings are as articulate as all get out. I like the bite, as it helps with playing on tunes where I'd normally use a roundwound instrument (and I can dial it down if need be). But depends on your application. Night and day difference between that and the Mouse. That said I don't have a 34" scale to directly compare.
The 35" scale produces one of the best B strings on the market and keeps it very articulate despite being tapewound. Of course, if I had a chrystal ball, I would have just ordered it as a 6er from the start.
