The VLE will probably do more cutting than any active treble control ... when rolled right back it starts to cut at 200-300 ... check the response curves in Invalid Link Removed.

The cool thing about the VLE is that it is a variable lo pass. So, it cuts the same amount at all levels of the control, but cuts different frequencies, gradually lower as you turn the knob. Pretty cool... turn it on a little, and it eliminates 10K or 8K... a little more, 7K or 5K... a little more, 4K or 1K... all the way down to the lower mids.
Wonderful control, and VERY different from a treble control, that varies the AMOUNT of cut, versus the frequency/fixed cut. Amazing little control!
