I"m sure Rob can suggest something.
So does anyone else use their Rob Allen as their main bass ? I have a few other really nice fretless basses that I play and want to use at gigs but I always grab my Mouse to play.
Here's my Mouse. Posted it before but just love this bass.

Finally got my RA out on a gig this weekend. Lot of good comments about the sound. Some friends from a band I use to gig with were out and were asking about the RA. They couldn't believe the tones!

been playing shows in NYC lately with my longtime collaborators: The Black River Band.
I find I don't need the 1x12 cabinet for most shows.
I may bring the Mouse instead of one of the Deeps for the next show just to change off a bit.
Love the idea that the whole thing rolls on a little folding hand truck (basses in a double case)...My amp head from the 1980s weighed more than all of this.

I have the same cabinet combo. I use the 112 on small gigs, the 210 for most everything else. Truth be told I'd like to find an even smaller cab for the small gigs, and get a second 210 to push more air as I like 10s better than 12s.
The Berg IP is a TOTALLY different thing from the Berg AE line... totally different voicing, etc.... smoother, deeper (which is not necessarily a good thing with the RA's).
Speaking of good combinations...the Berg AE212 in the store sounded great with Koa MB2 they had.
Fair enough. Long ago I came to the conclusion that a '60s B-15 + RA = awesome; even better in a recording studio.
I've got an MB-2 #951 on the way from an online vendor. I just couldn't wait for one to be made and this one has a nice maple top, and was a good price. I was debating a Mouse with an unlined board but I think the lined board and regular scale will be fine. I'll post photos when it arrives.
I am a little nervous about going back to a regular scale neck. I've been playing a Hofner for years, but can't deal with the narrow neck and intonation issues. Anyone have issues going from short scale to regular?

Checking in after while. I am still deeply in lust with my Koa lineless Mouse. It has become my one and only in my Jazz combo. I think if I showed up with something else, the other guys would be disappointed. Last week, we had a sub drummer and he told me afterward that the Mouse was the best bass he'd ever heard.
Funny as since I got it second hand, it's not the bass I would have ordered but now feel it was the one I meant to have.
To the discussion regarding matching cabs, thought I would share an interesting match. I had an Amazon gift certificate left over from my birthday, so on a whim I searched for "bass cabinet." Found that they sell Eden, Hardke, and a couple others. The had the Eden EX-112 which looks suspiciously like a Wizzy 12 design. Around Black Friday the price dropped to $186 with free shipping, so I figured it was worth it to give it a shot. Well, it's turned out to be a great little cab. It doesn't sound a bit like the other Eden's I've tried, it definitely is very organic and natural sounding. Could have a touch more bottom end (which might come with a decent break in) but it sure is an improvement over the Wizzy 10 that I was looking for.

Another question: My Mouse came with a hard case which is beautiful but very heavy. I'd like to get a gig bag to get back and forth to jams. The Rob Allen site lists the hard cases as a separate for sale item but not the gig bags.
Does anyone know what kind of gig bags are sent out with the Mouse and an idea of where I could get one?

I'm just using a guitar gig bag for mine. It should fit in most guitar bags simply because of the shorter scale, smaller headstock, and strategic bridge placement.
Per the above, Rob uses the standard Pro Tec Contego guitar case as his 'soft case' option. Nice case... plenty of pocket space and protection, and relatively low priced.
Curious how often you guys do the "minwax wipe on poly" maintenance that Rob talks about on his site? There's a few types (oil, water/glossy, satin) available and would like to hear what folks use. Do you do the carnauba waxing as well?
I would think that would be a once every 10 years, if at all... almost a 'refinish'.
These really don't need anything. I guess if you have a RW or Ebony board, a touch of oil every couple/few years would probably be a good thing.
