I don't think that is how "roasted necks" are made.
American Standard Olympic white. Had a tort pickguard on it but I changed it to black for now.
2012 Squier Vintage Modified Precision. Swapped the black guard for tort, and the bridge for an Allparts threaded saddle one.
MIM Player Precision, picked up used with some cosmetic mods. Set it up with a set of medium Pressurewounds, sounds great and plays like a dream. Slightly over 8lbs. Was expecting to swap the pickup in time but I quite like the stock one so far.
That anodised guard looks really nice with the white/maple!
Thanks, yeah it goes very well actually, previous owner put it on. Screwholes don't line up perfectly unfortunately so there's some empty holes, hasn't bothered me enough to change yet! Would look good with tort too, I think.

My friend gave me over 20 years ago. Musical instruments were often traded between friends for free . In many cases, there was a certain number of people who temporarily stopped or stopped playing musical instruments at the turning point of their lives due to the arrangement of luggage accompanying the move. My friend is one of them. This bass is Greco made in 1976. The PU was modified to Duncan QP, and the bridge was modified to Schaller. The sound is great!

Here is my 1982 Precision Special in Olympic White. As any older Fender does, it has aged more to vanilla or buttercream colored. It is excellent condition with minor dings invisible when playing it.

Here's mine. It's a Steve Harris body, P Bass Special neck with an Omega Bass bridge and an EMG PVA5 HZ pickup.
Jazz neck, so not a pure specimen...
They put "A" necks on P Basses back in ths 60's
My trans-white DIY made from aftermarket parts I had scattered around the shop. It has an Allparts J neck, Guitar Mill ash body, Barts and assorted gold hardware. The only Fender parts are the 'guard and flats.
