I had the rare situation this past weekend where I didn't have a review rig that was in immediate need of review, so I pondered my options and decided to go for an all-Glockenklang rig!
Truth be told, I had not tried this combination on a gig before, and after spending some time comparing various 4x10's the other day, I was itchin' to get the Take 5 out to a show. The Heart-Core has proven itself to push a lot more air than it's 400w (into 4-ohm) rating would imply, so I knew that I'd have plenty of juice, and boy, did I! This rig was super loud, super full, and super clear.
As luck would have it, though, the "stage" that they set up for us in this big banquet hall consisted of six or so "risers" with folding legs. They were securely fastened to each other, and the whole stage was pretty stable, but the metal "rings" that slide down to keep the legs locked open were rattling like you wouldn't believe whenever I played my rig! We ended up taping them all down (which helped a good bit), but I ended up moving my rig to the floor (which helped some more, but man, there were a lot of things rattling in that room - including the metal locking rings from the dining tables set up in the hall! Arggghh!!!
But, vibrating tables aside, the Glock rig was super impressive!
