Haven't update this in a while...so here goes...

Just received my second Acme B4 Series I. At home I'm using them with my Hartke HA4000 head...massive lows that sound so good!!!

To play out, I'd use my QSC PLX2402 as a power amp and some sort of preamp (Pearce BC-1, AMP SL-1 or maybe even the preamp section of the HA4000)

The Wall_of_Loud photo shows my amp wall...Acme stack, Ampeg/Marshall cabinet stack and part of my PA for playing CDs through when learning a new song or just playing along. Plus a photo of fellow TBer "Eli" playing a beautiful 7 string at a guitar show and a frame containing Victor Wooten's broken G string (from his Fodera folks :D ).

Stashed in various corners of the bassment ( :D ) lurks a whole bunch of bass cabinets, guitar amps and PA gear...

Jeeze Dave, completly *awesome* rig. Bet that sucker ROCKS!

Congrats!

So what do you think about the those Ampeg cabs vs. the Edens you were using before?

My newest addition. I finally got me an SVT 2 Pro. That'll be it for awhile. Check her out. She registers 330 rms watts on the technicians meter. She's a pounder. I got tone!

yep, I saved and saved and got her. Thanx for the congrats.
I still have the 4 Eden cabs( 2 2x10s and 2 1x15s). That's just the way I had her set up when I got the 2 Pro home. The Ampeg BSE cabs are okay. That 15" is a replacement speaker/upgrade. It's Peavey's best cast frame 4 ohm speaker. So I have two 4 ohm cabs to run the 2 Pro in 2 ohms some times. They sound good together but the ultimate is the 4 Eden cabs all together. Next time I set them up I'll take a pic. Thanx again. I'm in heaven.

My litle fierce bass rig. Sounds more than it looks, ask our guitarist. :)

Avatar B212 w/4th order crossover

I'm trading the 8ohm 410 TX for a 4ohm 410 TVX, courtesy friends at guitar center. This way I'll be able to run the head at 2ohms and get the full 700watts.

Yea DeadR,
That's the same reason why I upgraded my 15" Ampeg BSE cab. The 4x10 is already a 4 ohm cab so I put a 4 ohm 15" speaker in the 15" BSE cab(it was an 8 ohm). Now I can run my 2 Pro at 2 ohms instead of some weird ohmage like 3.6 or something.

With the Classic and a 70's SVT, I think the amps sound better at 2 ohms...though it's probably just the effect knowing there are 2 4 ohm cabs and max wattage output...either way it sounds better to me.

Wouldn't surprise me if the SVT Pros are the same way.

How do you like them Tri112L's? Seems to be a killer setup!

The Tri 112Ls are excellent. With the Clarus it is a very transparant sound but it is also loud. For me they are the best cabs I have ever heard and I do not see me ever changing them.

I know that is famous last words and all that, but I cannot foresee a better range of cabs than Accugroove. For me the Tri112Ls are the pick of the bunch giving me my own Whappo Jr in two boxes.

my old Hughes & Kettner Bassforce XXL. Great combo, I've had it for a very very long time as my main rig and it always did the job fine. Now it's a practice amp in our rehearsal room.
