how do you like the walkabout? i've been searching for a lightweight tube head and it seems fit the bill. also how do you think it would work with a 2x10?

thanks,
Mollin Man.

Im liking mine alot. Unless you get lucky though, youre going to spend at least 500-600 bucks for one. I got really lucky and got mine on clearence at GC for 450.

Its a very good sounding head. You can defintely get some great tubey sounds out of this thing. You can also pump up the pre and get some pretty decent distortion, though I dont use it any.

As far as working with a 2x10, I think itd be fine unless youre doing some pretty loud shows. This thing puts out the lows. You can use the para EQ to take ut some really deep lows to be able to get a little louder.

All in all, Im extremely pleased with this head and at how versitile it is. The gain knob really affects your sound alot. Keep it low, and its very clean and clear. start gettin those tubes workin and you get wonderful tubey vintage goodness.

Here's my rig for the time being:

Presonus TubePre --> G-K 400RB --> Aguilar GS410

I like the sound of it a lot. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the Presonus. I'm planning on picking up either an Aguilar DB750 or an Orange AD200 for a head within the next few months... :hyper:

That, my friend, is PURE BEAUTY!
Where did you get that cabinet! Very rare as well!

Thank you bro, It sure is.. It sounds just as good as it looks :hyper:
Someone from here turned me onto it through Craigs List and it happened to be right here in Boston. It was purchased new at Preformance Music center in 99 and spent it's entire life in a smoke free studio called Kissypig studio, Except for one gig, Crosby,Stills and Nash used it on there last time through town so it might heve even been Duck Dunn who played through it!!
It is pretty rare but a sick rig for sure.
