Show your amps!

Here is a picture (stupid flash reflections and all) of my new and improved EA rig which I used this past weekend at a (very large) private outdoor party. Since this was our only outdoor show this Summer, it was the only gig where I could even remotely justify bringing all these cabs. :D

I had the gain on the PLX 3002 set at 50% on each channel, and Master gain on the Navigator was also set at @ 50%. When I thumped on a low note, you could see the voltage meter on my PL-Plus take a dramatic dive (not quite into the red). And this was with getting stage power from the sound tech, who had a a dedicated 220 line!

Adding that CX-310 really added a lot of high end zing, which surprised me, given that it has only one tweeter and no midrange, versus the plethora of tweets and mids in the rest of my EA cabs. It makes a killer standalone cab, too.

I have also "pumped up" my mini rig a bit, and I will post follow up pics for it after our next gig.

Later, Tom.

I'm keeping it. Lots of sounds; using the computer software for it allows you to use an effect along with one of 3 wahs and a programmable distortion effect; Using two amps allows some cheesy stereo effects; modeler gives a lots of tone effects(don't know how accurate models are; I haven't heard most of the amps modeled). With the FCB1010 midi footswitch, you start to get into .;)'THE TOO MANY OPTIONS, MAN!' zone, which, as you know, is lots of fun. I don't know how you can have more fun for $200, unless, you let your morals slip:eek: :hyper:

I haven't seen any rigs of the latest (last?? :hmm: )line of Trace Elliot around here (maybe I missed them though) so here's mine. An AH500-12 head with a 1048h and 1818 cab.
That's my beloved Iba SR1000 and an ME-8B for fooling around with effects. I love the defretter effect! Coupled with some chorus and reverb I can get *very* Jaco-ish sounds from that.

I also built me a nice and cheap 300W 2x10 for jamming/practising. Pretty decent sound, very funky/punchy, although I did make a slight miscalculation in the box (or the port, still haven't figured it out) so the low G-note is a bit phatter than the bottom E... oh well, it's easy to move around, has good volume and it was CHEAP! I *still* need to cover it in something and give it a grill and some steel corners or something.

Hope you guys enjoyed lookin' at it! I still do every time. Especially the 18"... And hey, I get to *listen* to it as well! :D

In deference to my former "Big Rig", which never did really get revealed in its full glory, here is what I have been using prior to getting the EA cabs.

Mesa Boogie Diesel 4x10 ("Deep" version) and Eden 212XLT. This rig holds it own surprisingly well against all those EA cabs - I was up late last night shaking the ceiling tiles! :D

Great Rig, But why would you want to put the 4-10" on the bottom?
