not bad at all... It cuts well, though the tone is a little less desirable than what I can imagine I could make with my fingers, the same bass, and a better amp. Just doesn't have a wide variety of tones, though the addition of Barts and the outboard preamp helped to increase the variety and quality of tones I was getting.
Going up against a Marshall half Stack, a jazzy drummer, and a mic'd saxaphonist(band no longer together-1/2 of group going off to college) it did pretty well.

So for a 1x15 combo that cost 375$ used it does well and will last a few more years, until I get completely sick of its weight and non existant portability.

Glenn

Cool man, sorry about the band:( thanks for the info Glenn!

My post got stuck on the bottom of the last page (the one before this), so for people who just check the last page I'll post it again. With the risk of being a bit pushy...

I haven't seen any rigs of the latest (last?? :hmm: )line of Trace Elliot around here (maybe I missed them though) so here's mine. An AH500-12 head with a 1048h and 1818 cab.
That's my beloved Iba SR1000 and an ME-8B for fooling around with effects. I love the defretter effect! Coupled with some chorus and reverb I can get *very* Jaco-ish sounds from that.

I also built me a nice and cheap 300W 2x10 for jamming/practising. Pretty decent sound, very funky/punchy, although I did make a slight miscalculation in the box (or the port, still haven't figured it out) so the low G-note is a bit phatter than the bottom E... oh well, it's easy to move around, has good volume and it was CHEAP! I *still* need to cover it in something and give it a grill and some steel corners or something.

Hope you guys enjoyed lookin' at it! I still do every time. Especially the 18"... And hey, I get to *listen* to it as well! :D

Thanks BillyB!
Yeah I sure love that bass, from the discontinued Professional line. Very fast neck indeed, very flexible and punchy sound. Best Iba I ever played.
I love that 1966 Tri-Power GTO to, but I think I'd love it even more if it were Nightwatch Blue with a white interior and a black ragtop. Oh, and parked outside of course, instead of on top of my amp! :D
But anyway, the drivers...
The drivers are Beyma SM-110's. Made in Spain I believe... (checks) yes, Spain. They're 150W, 8 ohms and cost me about 114 euros each, which is about the same in dollars. The frequency reponse is pretty ok at 45-4000 Hz, especially for the money, but you can see it's not a very crisp sound. But I personally don't mind that. For the low volumes I designed this for I can compensate with my various EQ's. But I don't like it too crisp anyway, hence my 18".

I don't have a digital camera kicking around at the moment, so this is the best picture I could find.

It's an old ADA MP2 tube guitar preamp run through channel one of a DBX 266XL rack compressor (pic taked before I added it) and into a Gallien Krueger 1001RB. I run channel two of the DBX 266XL through the effect loop of the GK as a limiter before the GK's power amp. This pushes two GS112s, and optionally (as in this picture) a Yorkville 115 cab. Altough, I don't think I really need the Yorkville 115. It really just takes power away from the Aggies and they sound incredible on their own! I'm still amazed about the bottom end that those little cabs can put out. They sound better than most 410s, IMO. And yes, the Nintendo controller velcroed to the upper horn of my Yamaha TRB6II is functional. It's wired up as a sample trigger for my IBM Thinkpad 600.

I dig the controller and the rig:) oh,the bass is nice too;)

My old one (didn't see much SWR on this thread), it's pretty at least!

And the current one (minus the GT6-B)

... which really makes my Series 2 sing! I wonder what I can fill the extra rack space with :p

dont have a pic of just the amp, its a B100r, and i took the "ampeg" logo off the front to make it look more vintage-like :)

EDIT: Hello to anyone reading this whole thread, just updating my post... i posted my new rig on page.. 68 i think or something.

Since I'm moving, I finally moved my rig out into a place where I could actually get a picture of it. (Hence the boxes next to it). Actually, this is the first rig pic I have!

Eden D-410XLT (8 ohms)
EB HD212 (8 ohms)
Eden WT-300 (practice amp, gig preamp)
Carvin DCM1000 (gig power)

Usually the Spector is on the wall or in it's bag, but I couldn't resist throwing it in the picture. The High knob on the Eden was sheared off some time ago, but it was at Noon when it happened, so I'm not pressed for highs.
