i,ve been using the electric blue head as a preamp off and on for about 12 years or so. Both the line out and the effects send function as preamp outs (as long as you arent using the effects loop). It sounds good, just like the baby blue but louder (haha). The only bummer is the lack of shelving type bass and treble eq, but depending upon the eq on the bass its not that big of a deal. I've also used a sans amp bddi for the eq and to warm up the swr a bit.emjazz said:

I think I'll finally join in now that my amp is complete. That's my Behringer bx3000, Avatar 2x10, and Avatar 2x12 (just got it today from lwleaver

Have you had any problems with that head?
Have you used it at a gig? Loud enough?
I haven't had a single problem with the head since I got it about 6 months ago. It sounds great, and it's sturdy. The fan's nice and quiet.
I've played a few gigs with it through the Avatar b210, and it was more than loud enough. The last gig was at a biker bar: I was competing with about 300 Harleys, and I was still loud enough. I've never had to push the master past 5, and that was competing with the bikes.
If you have any other specific questions about it, feel free to ask.
I've had mine since december. I've had no problems. I practice with a guitarist using 120 watt crate 2x12 come and a very loud drummer who loves his ride cymbal. For me it isn't loud enough live. I'd need to have it hooked up to the PA, but the tone is great.

I highly recommend the B212, lots of bottom and punchy mids and highs. Works great with my SVT-CL and weighs less than the head!

Cool setup. What's that little pedal-collection on top of your head?
Boss 7 band bass eq. Used it to get a litle extra oomph out of my 60 watt practice amp.
