I have been using an old tube Plush 3000b 'super bass' head. it is all tube, with 150 watt output (6 6l6's!). It sounds really warm, and will growl nicely if you crank it.

Unlike the old Fenders, the 'deep' switch will actually make it deep. It will cut the gain as well, giving it more clean headroom when you turn it up.

It is being used with a newish Fender 4x10.

These old Plush/Earth heads are great if you can find one.

Hey, isn't that Furman a power supply and a tuner in one?
If so, how does it work? I've been thinking of trying to find
one to get two rack space uses out of one rack space unit.

I don't think so. I've never heard of a power cond. and a tuner being together. Also, you can see in the picture that the power conditioner and tuner are in 2 seperate spaces. It would be a killer idea though.

Furman actually did make (I don't think they still do) a combo
tuner/power conditioner. I thought that the picture showed
two seperate sets of LED's on the Furman. It's hard to tell
because the picture isn't a close-up of the rack.
Yes, the Furman and the Korg are in two seperate spaces.

Nevermind. I just answered my own question. I had the time
today to look it up, and the picture that metaltronix posted
is definitely NOT a Furman PLTuner. Here's a link if anyone

I bought a Hartke HA4000 kind of on a whim and love it. With the D Bass half way up you must really rattle the house...

The downside to this rig is the fact that I can't get ANY volume at home without all of the pictures on the wall rattling to heck.

That tuner/power cond. is pretty cool. Too bas it wouldn't be chromatic and have a little bigger display on it. I'd be all over that.
EDIT: Upon futher inspection of the unit, that thing would work really well as is. I stand completely corrected.

In addition, it "filters" the current coming into your system and removes electrical impurities that creates a less than optimum sound from your gear....kind of like an oil fiter if you like analogies. Most people never, ever hear the true potential of their equipment because of "dirty current"
