I learned on a 61 Jazzmaster. I still get a little sick when I think back to selling it for $1200 in 1995 :bawl:

I had it from 1983 to 95... it was pretty beat and though the neck was nice, the fingerboard, pickups, pots, finish, bridge, etc, etc, etc were in a bad way.

I'm digging my Strat and I'm getting a set neck mahogany guitar with a pair of P90s built as my back up.

Here is my new rig- I it all second hand- the cabient second hand here in Australia, for real cheap, and the Gallien Krueger 800RB head of Talk bass memeber Toddtodd. Big thumbs up.... She sounds well sweet in a great way, very clean, yet mildly warm the cabinet works great withthis head sound wise.

The cab has a problem with one of the speakers- I got it hell cheap though so I'm not complaining. Trying to sources a new speaker at the moment. :-) Cant wait to fire it up for my first ever recording session in about 2 weeks. Got a small blues / country / rock album project going on with a guitarist friend of mine... So far so good :-)

Rig with my weapon of choice- MIA Jazz Bass; although the Essex / Custom P-bass I just got / am working on may get some use in the recording too...

Here's my current setup. I recently added the wood and Eminence Alpha 6 drivers to the Avatar cabs. I also added internal bracing. I have an Avalon U5 and a Rane ME-30 EQ on the way but this is a rare camera moment for me so I can't wait for them to post.

BTW I know the drivers aren't lined up properly but it sounds great to me. I got to check it out in the audience at our jam night and all is good :D
