Country (and Rock )

So, can anyone tell me why keyboard players always seem to need music? WOW! Charts for Country!

That was a great gig - first time we'd played live together in ten years. It was also the first time I'd ever played with Dave (guitar in this pic) as he was the bassist I took over from. The above pic was taken during our performance of Ace Of Spades, so I'd kicked in my distorted sound which, unfortunately, was set up for my normal situation of playing with only one guitarist. As a result it was a much wider, fuller sound than I'd use in a two guitar situation and it meant that Dave suddenly couldn't hear his own guitar. I'll never forget the look of confusion as he played the opening chords, checked his volume pot, played a few more, turned to his amp and fiddled, checked his volume pot again...I tried shouting to him to explain, but it's difficult in a song like that!

Wow you dug up an old post ther Dan, I don't even play with that group anymore. I can tell you though, that in this instance that particular keyboard player is mostly a lead singer. She doesn't have extensive musical training (just a little classical paino) and only played keys when she wasn't singing. Charts and country...it can happen....

oh...where to begin...I wish I had some pictures of my current stack (Avatar B410 and B115Neo). Anyway...here we go...

One of our first shows...in a backyard...I'm rocking a Squier P-bass into an Acoustic 150 and a gutted Crate GFX212.
