this bass came with Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pups and Suhr pre am p. That set up was way to modern sounding for me.

I love the Big Singles, for me they do a jazz bass with more guts thing. We were able to move the bridge pickup closer to the 60's position when Carey re-routed the bass and for me that works way better. The bass now sounds very jazz like and natural. His preamp is great, as it is very natural sounding

this sounds like what Im looking for .... my bass also has the Dimarzio's and Suhr pre. Im liking it but want more of natural sounding jazz type tone.
