Tort on black .... mmmm mmmm. I prefer rosewood to maple so swapped the maple neck that was originally on my 50's Precision. The neck I traded for was one I previously sold 2 years ago. Lol. Didn't realize that until later. Beautiful neck I had no use for at the time and happy to get it back. I didn't like the scratchy feel of the gold aluminum pickguard and had a tort one from another PBass so voila ... 
Strangely, the new neck fits the pocket absolutely perfectly. The original neck certainly didn't. Match made in heaven!

2012 modded "Fender" Modern Player Jazz… The color is called trans-black. A very nice instrument for being "Crafted in China".
My MIM Fender Jazz V just got a $10 tort makeover courtesy of Ebay. It plays so much better now. 
The first bass I lusted after when I was a teenager was those Fender Deluxe Active Jazz's in black/tort. Still my favorite color combo, but turns out I was more of a P guy.
This is my current number #1. Parts P. Fender Am Pro neck & tuners. Fender tort guard and vintage style knobs. Squier body. EMG GZR pups. About to replace the bridge with a Fender HiMass, then it'll be complete.
