Actually, Wadge, I'm pretty sure Bartman's is ash/rosewood. That being said, both Bartman's '59 burst and your natural with white pearl p/g and blocks are two of the most beautiful basses I've ever seen (along with Munji's pink Lakland). Stunning, all of them. :eek:

It's ash, but the board is actually morado. It's not quite as dark as rosewood and sounds more like maple (bright) than rosewood. :D

Thanks for the compliments though! I love the look of it but proper photography (tripod, no flash, timer) helps too.

I've got a question about block inlays:
Don't they influence the sound or tone on your bass, because there are always great discussions on the difference in sound for maple vs. rosewood. So it would be logical to expect a difference in sound for blocks. But I've never had a block-inlayed neck, so can't tell the difference.
