I feel I'm worthy of some dumba**ery award ,as a couple of days ago I was lifting up my P bass and put the headstock right into a ceiling fan...Three hits,one gouge.

North Florida. Late 70's... My Dad put ceiling fans in all of our bedrooms (first time ever having them), I sat playing my Peavey T40 (unplugged, with a strap) while he put one in my bedroom. As he finished and was picking up his tools, I stood up to take the bass off and immediately broke off one of the fan blades.
My Dad looked at me and said one thing...
Dumbass.
I was and still can be from time to time.

More shame...A few months ago I had my Jazz lying on the sofa while I played with the electric geetar.Went to lay the geetar down next to the J and nicked the upper horn with the geetar's output jack....Left a pea-sized chip down to the wood.First scar on it,I quickly filled it in with permanent marker....Foregive me,JIO.
This mark is from a moving ceiling fan as well, my biggest fan to be precise.
The cracked headstock was there when I bought it, but was the recracked and rerepaired when my friend’s girlfriend at the time fell on it.
I had a 77 Aria Pro ll Precise Bass given to me a while back that was missing electronics and pick guard. I had a bridge route done and I've dropped a Bill Lawrence PJ set into it. Sounds great and had plenty of Mojo!

Not a distressed bass but almost pulled the trigger on this David Certain a while back. Held off a bit, cause I had already bought five basses that year, then it was gone. Wife said she was not sure it was my colour heh heh. Should of bought it.

That is a SMF - wonder if it's vintage or relic'd? If it's vintage, it has the (usually) trade show custom colour (fiesta red) with matching tug-bar.
