SHOW YOUR DISTRESSED FINISHES!

@JIO

your 66 is one of my favorite P Basses ever.... it's truly stunning

And yeah, the 61 fiesta I posted will definitely be inspiration for an extreme relic build of mine !

I just noticed the ring of 16 holes to the backside - possibly someone nailed a pad there, like on VOX basses. ???

Well, look what just showed up in the TB classifieds.

Crazy tort pg... replaced Dimarzio pu's... '60s threaded saddle bridge ... late '60s/'70s bound & block neck... what is it?

It's a Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Vincent Van Trigt NAMM show 66 Heavy Relic Jazz Bass. Dark Horse posted it earlier in his last dump. So many people commented on this bass, and then it showed up in the TB classifieds. Out of my price range, but a cool bass nonetheless.

I'd at least put a Spitfire pg on it... :)

Both cool, both with "meh" tort, but lovely none the less.:thumbsup:. Easily corrected to taste.

I totally agree - putting that weird tort pg on that bass is a crime. (the FCS one- the other if original is weird also...)
