Took a deathbed promise to my grandma - didn’t realize it at the time, but yeah. She passed, my mom told me and that was it.Good on you that you quit.My good friends mom was a career waitress and long-time smoker. For her B-day a few years back he paid for a hypnotist to break her smoking habit and it worked! She's so much healthier/happier now.
It is. I also appreciate the actual wear on the upper fret area outside the cash register or money zone or whatever. My kinda guy.That right there is one sexy jazz bass!

Beauty - the stories that guitar could tell! Definitely a lead player judging from the fb wear in the nose-bleed section.
Indeed. The story of that guitar is more comedy than anything else, a previous owner used a blowtorch to remove the original finish and ran it over with a car post-gig at least once.
Still, my tech says it's his best playing and sounding guitar.

Beauty of a guitar, I'd think the player was more of a rhythm strummer due to the strings being hit most were the low E, A and D.
This is probably my favorite distressed piece in my collection. '72 or '73. The original case has an old "label maker" red tape name of Joe Taylor on the end. Wish I could figure out more about the original owner. Although it could stand new frets, it plays and sounds even more spectacular that it looks!
