That white P (checking) is off the charts! The gold '70s J is also pretty great! Checking, but elegantly fine. My guitarist friend has a sweet G&L guitar in that gold - I've posted it before. And I had one of those ss National Res-O-Glas basses. Strangest sounding bass - like you were playing inside a fiberglass shower stall! Fun little bass though - it fit in the upper cargo compartment when I flew with it once!

This one's hard to totally capture it's vibe in photos. 78(I think?) Antigua that I like the wear on the guard as much as I do on the body. As an aside, this one smells as smoky as the burst above did when I first got it. I've got to air it out a bit...

Very nice! UV rays (sunlight) with some help from a light dusting of Lysol spray for a week or more - it never goes away completely but it will make it tolerable.

If I remember correctly, it was the gigs. EVERYBODY at the bar smoked -- before they arrived, while they sat, while they danced, while they (used the bathroom), and often half the band (or more) did, too.

For sure - when I played in a blues band in Chicago in the late '70s-early '80s, all my cloths would go in the wash and I would shower as soon as I got home because I smelled like an ashtray.

I understand how the spaghetti font as a nod to their origin is corporate suitable but I like the transition logo and its later variations better.

A little over-buffed but not bad. The more you study actual wear on vintage (usually) Fenders, you start to see details that give it away as effected/relic'd.
