SHOW YOUR G&L'S!!!!

OK...not a great pic, but here are my G&L's. All that's missing from the entire arsenal is my USA Cirrus 5 - but this IS the G&L forum! :smug:

I've played fretless Jazz basses before, but never a G&L fretless. Does it have "that sound"?

It has the mwwwwah sound every fretless player wants (very Pino-seque). I had a few Carvin fretless before this and they didn't really sound like a classic fretless. With my tube compression and some on-board tweaking this actually sounded like an upright. Flats are also a major component of the sound. This bass is the ****!!

Hey coop. This is the EXACT same bass I just ordered from the distributor here in Spain!! (color and all)... What's your input on it?

It is still the best tone out of any of the G&L's (or any other brand) I've ever had. There's a rumor that some of the early Tribute bodies may have been made from Mahogany. I don't know if that's the case here, but it sure has it's own unique voice that none of the others have. Short answer - I love it!

That's still one of the nicest basses I've ever seen!! But are you pluging you're bass in the rack tuner and going from the tuner to the amp?? Doesn't that cause a lot of tone suck?

plugging into the tuner...I hear no loss of tone at all. The G&L is a tone MONSTER. I favor it over the Music Man Stingray4 I have.
Oh, and I downsized form a 4x10 to a 2x10. As wierd as it may be, it sounds a lot better now. The 1x15 comes in HUGE with this setup. Wish I went with a 2x10 in the beginning.
