I posted this pic in the green is pretty post as well but im very happy with my G&Ls and wanted to put some info with it.
GL.jpg

97 usa l2k in honeyburst with dr mello yello @18volts
94 usa l5500 in clear forest green with Dr lo-riders @18volts.
03 tribby l2k in natural with Ti jazz flats usually play passive thru both preamps mixed on Gbe600 with tube at about 2o'clock.
So many tone possibilities with an L2k /Gbe600 combo.

The l5500 really needed the 18volts.I also did my fulltone bassdrive
to 18volts.wow.

Very interesting; I've not seen a blacked out bridge on a rear loaded bass before, that I can recall...
What year is that bass?
What cab is that?
What's yer favorite color?

The old guy and teacher in me sez "hike that strap up, and get your thumb back behind the fingerboard...you'll have a much easier time reaching 12th position..."
(nag mode off!)

Yes, I am with you Chief, especially as I now play upright from time to time, and posture is soo important..so should we start on "Old Farts for Proper Posture and Positioning Club?" Some of the pics here are PAINFUL at times...;)

It is a nice bass....:D

Great bass!

Chef is right...and not only will it be easier to reach the notes, but you will have less wrist pain after a long set. When I first started playing, I used a strap position similar to the one shown...now, you couldn't pay me enough to wear the instrument that low. Try what he suggests...if you don't feel that it makes you a better player, you can go back to where you started.

and also, as you age, and baldness takes over your head, you wont have to look down so often, showing your pattern baldness to the crowd..either that or your hat logo...maybe you will be lucky....:D:D
