My dad found an ad for this bass in the Dallas Morning News. At the time I had just gotten into electric bass and had no idea what a G&L was. I checked the bass out with a friend, and of course bought it on the spot. The guy sold it to me for $500, and that included a G&L hardshell case, Monster Cable, strap and stand. I kind of feel sorry for the guy, but then I look over at the bass and the thought quickly vanishes.

I picked this up for a steal at the Guitar Center memorial day sale. Restrung and intonated last week and used for rehearsal. Just went through it again and set up those MFD pickups this morning.

My main basses are a MIM J & P, but I think this just bumped them out of the first spot.

How does that forward ringed control pot function on that SB-2? Is that aftermarket?

The stacked pot gives me a V/V/T setup without drilling any new holes on the bass. Butch at Bayou Cables did the wiring harness for me.
