SHOW YOUR GREAT LOOKING BASSES WITH MAPLE BOARDS!

LEW Lonnybass? care to tell me some background on that beauty?

Ah, my favorite precision just showed up! she is gorgeous! I love the new color combo a lot bro!

great looking 'ray also!

The blue/greenburst Lonnybass was completed in September 09 and features a flamed myrtle top over a mahogany body. The bass has what is essentially a reverse P/J Sadowsky configuration with the 2 band EQ + VTC wired up at 18 volts. The neck is a three piece lamination of purpleheart and maple, and hardware is Gotoh. Here are a few shots from other angles!

I traced the original pickguard onto the record, got out my stencil cutter (basically a soldering iron with a thinner tip) and went to town. When I was done cutting it out I cleaned up the edges with a dremel.

Cutting out the pickup cavity and neck pocket was a major PITA.

I killed two Tchaikovsky records in the process figuring out the best way to do it :|

I'm planning on replacing that neck with a fretless P neck, swapping the neck pup for a Fender Custom Shop 60s and the bridge one for a MM humbucker. :hyper:

Maybe I'll strip that thick-as-a-brick poly finish and paint it over with white nitro.

PS: that's my lil' brother's bed, not mine :D.

Ill take the neck, if you take it off! PLEASE!
