Thank you! I can die happy now! I'm such a sucker for a sparkly blue precision with a maple board. That (or a rick) will be my next purchase.
 
James, do you have trouble going from 5 to 7 on a daily/hourly basis?

Well, I have an electric and an upright 4 string as well... not much trouble going between. Those 3 are my main basses and the 5 has heavy flats and the 7 super ultra light rounds... that makes the mind aware of what I'm playing.

Is that birdseye maple on the fretless one?

I traced the original pickguard onto the record, got out my stencil cutter (basically a soldering iron with a thinner tip) and went to town. When I was done cutting it out I cleaned up the edges with a dremel. Cutting out the pickup cavity and neck pocket was a major PITA.

I killed two Tchaikovsky records in the process figuring out the best way to do it :|
