Here is a pic of the topwood of my custom bass currently being built. It's going to be 3/8" top with a thin flame maple core and the rest mahogany. I love this wood; koa seems to have a very very wide variety of patterns and colors, ranging from beige brown to something almost red, like mine.

My only 5 er...rarely sees the light of day.
Not sure of the year of this Carvin...but Koa none the less.
Sweet Bass Ozon! I trip out on how many Koa basses were produced by Carvin and BC Rich over the last 10 years.
Longstanding family relationships with timber suppliers go back a long way... I'm sure the Kiesel's have right of 1st refusal locked in tight.
Here is my contribution. Matt Pulcinella Level 5 neckthru. I think it's the only neckthru he ever built. BTW,all you guys with the Koa BC Rich Eagles and Mockingbirds,I hate everyone of you! (lol)

Thank you, ive actually been posting updates of this bass on the "Bee Basses Owners Club" thread. I dont have very many pictures of the build of the bass, but the little i do have is there.

Here are three of the most recent pictures I received from Fred Bolton from Bee Basses (angle shots of the bass wetted down with naptha). The bodys been contoured and has been routed out for the custom wound 9-string Delano triple JSBC pups. (jazz buckers)

Thats about it so far as far as pics go.
I'm now waiting on pics of the book matched acrylicised Madigascar Ebony fretboard with flame Maple binding.
