Rogue luthier employed at Knooren Handcrafted bass guitars
Okay, yesterday I put my first bassguitar, an early nineties vantage P-Bass knockoff, together again using the Neck coming of my Essex Jazzbass and a Dimarzio Billy Sheehan pickup set up. The white plate surrounding the bridge is there to cover up a hole where a second P-bass pickup used to sit.

And that prompted me to start a thread about our old junkers who we love inspite the way they look.

Tomorrow I'll return her to active duty with my new band "Earth Pulse"

how'd that 2 p-pickup setup sound? active or passive?

i've thought about putting just a p-pickup in my jazz bass and extending the pickguard to cover the bridge j-pickup hole.

Ain't no batteries here. The pickups sound powerful and full of mojo.
