Hmm, interesting. This stuff is all new to me :)

I thought all I was going to need was an amp, but now I see there is potential for a lot of cool stuff... BUT, what the heck is it? haha.

I know the amp, tuner, wireless....

But what else are you guys putting in there? and what the heck is it accomplishing? I see a lot of you have "Power conditioners" what tthe heck are those?

A power conditioner is, at it's most basic, is voltage surge protector...kinda like the one you use on your computer and other (expensive) electronic gear to protect against spikes in power.

Lots of info out there Google "power conditioner" or a brand like "furman"

My Big Rig.....
Alembic DS-5R Power Supply for my Alembic basses
Alembic F-1X Preamp
Korg DTR-1 Tuner
Samson Wireless
Crown Xs500

My Little Rig.....

G-K 1001RB
Alesis QuadraVerb 2 (with MidiBuddy foot controller)

I'll probably take the wireless out of the big rig and put the little rig in a 4 space and add the wireless to it.

Peace,

James

Do you have problems with the G-K getting overheated when you block the cooling fan ? :)

Don't know yet. I've had it all of a week. There are slots on the front as well as on top. There's also a slight bit of air space on top, despite what the picture may show. I am keeping an eye on it, though. If it seems like that will be an issue I'll just put it in a 4 place and not add the wireless. Just leave the top slot open.

Peace,

James
