this one sat in the case with the strap on for some years before coming to me...the strap sorta settled into the nirto finish. it's weather checked, wron thru, nicked, dinged...it took aobut 6 hours and three grades of meguires to get it looking like this. up close, it's still pretty ragged-tastic.

finally some real bass players not those prissy boys who treat their instrument like its solid gold.

these are the perfect example of how an instrument should become to show its age. still sound awesome (i assume) and no problems apart from the finish which is a pro more than a con i reckon.

i only hope my bass will look this sweet after a few more years and hopefully a lot more gigs.

My main player for the past 30 yrs. The body is in surprisingly good shape, but the neck is showing its age. The frets are worn down pretty bad. I'm reluctant to subject it to a re-fret; therefore, it's now retired.

I used one of these rare Burns 6 string basses from 1963 -69, I've just recently sold this one to a collector in France.

I bought this 1965 Fender Jazz new in 1966: this was the shot I took before the new owner collected it. I'm not a dealer I've just moved on to 5 strings.

ima try to post some pics of my mustang bass , telecaster custom guitar , and more of my pbass . i have since added a period correct late 60's stp oil sticker and changed out the bridge saddles , raised the emg pick ups , and new strings .... basically complete set up . now it is gigable . sounds and plays great !

This is a 1972 Penco Jazz Bass, made in Japan, Lawsuit era....Very high quality...Plays and sounds great...One of my favorite's.
