Hi...
I wonder when a bass becomes a relic...
I own several aged basses but the older one, a 1965 L Series Precision Bass,
have never been gigued, so... In certain places the finisht is cracked because
of its age, but for the rest, the bass is as new as it was when it left the factory
in 1965... It still has its original strings...

That 1965 L series is one of the most amazing vintage Fenders I`ve seen. Never saw one is such an immaculate state.

A true time machine.

It's a G&L L2000. Killer bass with a ton of tonal options - passiv/active/active with treble boost, series/parallel operation, neck/bridge/both pickups, treble and bass controls. I love the sound with the maple board... incredibly snappy.

Here's my '86 4003, most of the damage occurred before I bought it about 6 years ago, particularly on the neck. I think a lot of the chips on the headstock are my own clumsy fault though!

Unfortunately one of the screws on the bridge pickup got threaded and fell out years ago, and since then it's been half held in with blu-tack! Anyone know where I can get a replacement?
