Hey guys,
Right now im in the market for a Half stack around 600-800 dollars. I have been looking at the Carvin SBR410 but someone told me that it lacks low end. I have a 5-string bass and I tune the B string down to A for Band Practice. THE low end is important. I think that I can eventually extend the Carvin and put a 1x15 on the bottom. Please, If you have any feedback about the Carvin's sound quality or a recommendation of a half stack in my price range, PLEASE WRITE TO ME
Thanks

-James

Here is my half stack, will be replacing the Carvin with a Mesa Boogie PH cab asap (thinking about the 4x12). As of tonight, here is how it stands:

Just ordered a Monster Cable 3500 pro power conditioner, still need the wah, chorus/delay and a wireless, as well as a PH cab and I will be good (to buy more basses that is, muwahahah :hyper: :bassist:)

here is my near completion rig. it has a trace elliot 410 and and avatar 212. on top is a gallien krueger 800rb and a peavey mark III. it rocks and is mega loud. i am currently building a 1x15 to add to it.

this rig really rocks. i found the gallien krueger and trace elliot used in town for $200 total for both.

not bad for a 15 year old huh?

Very nice indeed, pretty much just the Ampeg rule is my only pet-peeve... :)

I love that little cab on the top... What are those 5"s? ;)

Yep. I don't think Hartke made many of those little 4X5 cabs, the only other one I've seen was in Stu Hamm's rig in the early 90's. Kinda crispy sometimes, I rarely use the tweeter cabinet.
Actually, I rarely use that rig at all, I've reverted back to being a tube junkie for the last several years.
Particularly since I got one of these...
