This rig makes my LTD B-4E shine. :D I thought my first electric five string would be an Ibanez but I am seriously leaning towards another LTD B series, or maybe the cheaper D series.

Hey! Nice rig, didnt think I'd see another sonic. I posted mine on page 4 I think. Im running a Spector legend 5 custom through a peavy tour 450 and sonic 610. Im also jealous cuz you have an avatar 212, which i woulda gotten if I could afford it.

i'm located in sydney and yep,they're very thin on the ground that's for sure.i was actually in the market for a 4x10 but when i came across this for junk money i just couldn't knock it back and i'm so glad i didn't.i reckon i would've regretted going the 4x10's

It is an excellent cab. Yours rig looks sweet. I love the look of the newer Peavey heads.

If you get a chance to get a head that goes down to 2 ohms and an Avatar B212, go for it. They sound excellent together. :D Otherwise, don't sell your Sonic 610 without talking to me first. ;)

Lol, dont think ill be selling it anytime soon, its just too good. it handles the B-string like a pro by the way, so whatever 5 string you decide on, you dont hafta worry about that.

Pardon the crappy Ampeg head...it was in the wrong place at the wrong time. :hiding: Didn't have anywhere else to put it. The Hamer's wired in stereo, so I can hog both the Hartke and the Peavey at the same time. :D

Just got the Sunn today...sounds incredible. When I have chorus and some smooth, smokey distortion on the jazz pickup/Peavey/Sunn 4x12 channel and a little compression on the P pickup/Hartke/Ampeg 4x10 channel, it sounds just like the bass on Moving Pictures. :cool:

Yeah that's a bit of a big statement to make. Hope you don't take that too literally--first day with a rig you've been waiting years to put together is a little exciting :D

What I'm driving at is that when you put some chorus on one channel, the dynamic of your sound deepens farther than you'd think. The high, twangy channel separates from your lows. They blend, twist, and oscillate and it's so much FUN!! :hyper:

Some time soon, I'll record it...but I keep spending money on bass gear. Me and a drummer buddy plan to do a cover of Maiden's "New Frontier" some day soon since we love jamming to that song. :bassist:

I have the EarCandy BassBomb with 212s which I really like alot. Its a very efficient, loud cab-950 Watts that keeps up with my 2 Schroeder Cabs. It has a really nice deep woody tone-no tweeter in these cabs, but its not missed at all. I love the tone. I'm planning on another one for a matched set. Peace...DAcat :cool:
