My rig of doom usually consists of one of these heads (sometimes 2) through an SVT810E.

Got this today, finally.

To be honest, the GK1001RBII was louder, but this thing has super tone. The Sansamp may not be necessary, but it still makes the tone rounder and fatter. Which is what I'm after. Can't push the Sansamp too loud though, I get a fairly loud hum if I do. If anyone knows how to avoid this, I'm all ears.

Here's the doomiest rig I've had (and since the subject of Acoustic was brought up):

The Acoustic gear is a 140 head (about 80 watts at 4 Ohm) and 402 cabinet (2x15), this was my rig for my first few years.

The SWR Workingman's 4004 was, unfortunately, transitional. I had to choose between it and the Nemesis NC-210 combo that's pictured below it. If I had my druthers (and another room in the house) I would still have the SWR 4004 and the Acoustic 402 - that pair was amazingly doomy.

Well I don't have pics, and I'm not sure how to put them up if I did, but my old too-big-to-carry-around rig was kind of Doom-y.

I had an Acoustic B4 head going into an Acousric TC-21-P powered 2x10 cab and a Randall 2x15 cab,

The B4 was a 360 Watt biampable head. And the TC-210P cab had a 400 Watt power amp inside. So when I ran both sides of the B4 power amp to the low side in bridged mono and ran the high side on the internal power amp in the TC-210P, I had a biamped 800 Watt rig, back when 300 Watts was considered a huge amount of power.

Unfortunately it was a beast to transport. The Acoustic head was reasonably heavy. The Acoustic cab was insanely heavy. And the Randall cab was hernia-inducing even on casters.

With all three parts (And it just didn't sound as good with either cab missing.) it was nearly as tall as me, and substantially wider, at least up to chest height.

I'm happier with my SWR rig: Redhead with a Triad extension cab, Each piece weighs in only the ninety to a hundred pound range. And the Redhead even has casters. I'll probably remove them from the Redhead and put them on the Triad. But I'm afraid that will tempt me to move the whole rig around while it's all set up.

sorry about my drummers belly and my mongle guitarist, but you get the idea of how big my bass rig is...

in the rack case there is my SVT4 pro
Then there is the Peavey TVX 4x10
And below that is my Peavey BW equipped 1x18

I believe the BW is old, like from thge early 80s and it is still working perfectly...

I will get a better pic, my phone is rubbish...
