Only 800 watts... how many ohms are your cabs? isn't it if they are 4 ohms each shouldn't you be alble to push all 1200 watts??

great, sounds 500% better...although it may need a re-tube, i used it for a gig on friday night, was great the whole night, then last night during the last set whenever i started slapping or really digging in it'd cut out for a sec, and it sounded a little od'd all the time...but it may have been the peavey, havent really figured it out yet...that JBL cab on the bottom is a friend of mines, i just wanted to compare it to mine, its alot better than my JBL box, but still, neither of them compare to the Peavey...that cab is sex...i want a 210tx now

You're tone was pretty tight before! I can't imagine a 500% improvement!!! Glad you're digging it, I had an SVP-Pro many years ago and loved it.

Hi guys,
The top rack has an Alembic F2B and an Intersound IVP preamp, the IVP is a unit that was popular in the 70s-80s, all SS but very versatile. Tommy Shannon used one in the early days.

The cabs were built by me, they have EV 10s and JBL 15s. When I said I was going to take the rig apart, I mostly meant I'd be removing the drivers and putting them in smaller cabs. I'll be selling the cabs empty if anybodys interested.

And Joe, I'll probably be using some new/old cabs I have discovered recently. I think there was a thread a while back about using PA cabs for bass. Well, I think I may have found the perfect, HiFi sounding PA box, built like a tank, just the right size, and affordable. More on that story as it develops

At least I actually play in a Doom band!!

But still, that bass is the undoomiest bass. It's pretty like a tiger (it has a tiger swirly body design, I aparently got it when I was high) Sounds great though. And the amp is waaaaaaaaaaaayyy louder than my guitarists combined.

THE COOLEST THING: (sorta) The Traynor weighs about 60 lbs, when I crank it to 9-10, the head moves across the cab! This thing can move air. I just gotta keep my eye on it... or not play at 10.

This thread makes me miss my gear I had to leave my bass and amp (and I always leave my cab) at my guitarists house/practice spot because I'm moving. I'm really starting to fiend for some bassification. I'VE BEEN STUCK PLAYING ACCOUSTIC GUITAR!!! I'M STARTING TO MELLOW OUT! SOMEONE SLAP ME!!!
