The switch to the AG500 because of weight and space requirements. At the volumes i'm playing right now, the DB750 was a bit overkill and I actually like the tone of the AG500 Overdrive Channel more than the Sansamp through the DB750, so it was a logical choice for me. Less weight, I'm still pumping a lot of volume. What you don't see in the picture is a drummer with 4 toms, a huge rack that takes up a bit, and a guitarist on the other side that has 2 Marshall 1960B's and a Soldano rack + a Piano/Rhodes/Pro-tools rig. So between all of that madness there wasn't much room for my 10 space rack anymore (which I'm fine with). I'm in charge of taking care of the in-ears now too, which I love. My lead singer has the Shure PSM600 and I have Sennheiser EW300 G2. Both systems are great. That's why I've been liquidating so much gear as of late. 1, I'm pretty happy with the (little rig), and 2, I need the extra time to go setup the in ear stuff while the rest of the band sets up. Oh and 3, I need the money to pay for backup singing stuff (like lessons, Mics, and the in-ears). I still have the DB750 though...I can't find the heart to sell it. Maybe if desperate times call for desperate measures, but as of now, I just can't do it.
