Wooten's Pedulla has the same thing... his may be a slightly larger area. I've always loved the look of a bass that has that patch worn away. You see that patch when the bass player comes on stage a you know your in for some funkin funk.

You know it! As much as I like to keep my things nice, she's no wall flower and has been around a bit. Every little nick, bump, and dent has a little story. Well, sort of.

My poor Pedulla, for ten years plus this was my main bass. My thumb wore right through the finish and put an indent in the wood.

Actualy your thumb whore through the flamed top too. Can't believe it's so thin.
