We lost Boomer in March. He was an independent little stinker, but a fun dog who loved us.

Quincy's lifting a stick in Rex's honor. We actually have to be careful where we park the cars in the driveway. He'd have no qualms about running full speed past the cars with a foot and a half of branch hanging out each side of his mouth.First dog my girlfriend (now wife of 43 years) and I got together was a free German Shepherd dog we named Rex.
Rexy Boy had a stick fetish and carried one with him often....by stick I mean 15 foot tree branches or the biggest pieces of firewood from the pile.
He did this for the whole fifteen years he lived, he was the dog we had when both our kids were born and when the were young.
Wherever we hiked he would find the biggest branch he could lift in the woods and carry it, smacking into trees the whole time.
He was an un-neutered dog who was a maniac but he was most gentle dog with all the kids, mine and the whole neighborhood.
He still has a place on our refrigerator door after he's been gone twenty nine years.
If I had a digital image of him I would proudly post it here, he was a good boy.
Love that leash! Used Flexi's for years, but that new tape version is great. Bought two.
A hundred likes for that picture, it gives me a little bit of butterflies in my stomach, nostalgia things do that to me now, I think I'm getting soft in my old age.Quincy's lifting a stick in Rex's honor. Yep, the same pooch. He was a beaten and abused dog when we adopted him. As were were leaving the shelter, the adoption lady said he is so "lucky" to go with us. The name stuck. Is this the same dog in your avatar? They both look similar.
That's the look of a dog who pretty much KNOWS he's gonna get the bottom end of that cone...
