Interspecial spooning! I love these guys!Too hot outside. Time for the buddies to take a siesta. View attachment 4325844
I used the same technique several times. It usually works. My daughter just took in this female Pitbull pup who is about seven or eight months old.
The guy who lives across the street had it in a crate outside all day and in another crate inside all night.
Last week, my daughter and her husband asked the guy if they could take the pup for a walk with their ten year old Pittie female and he said yes.
The next day they went back to do it again and the guy said he might want to give up the dog, they took it home right on the spot.
They had a vet visit today and by some miracle, the seven month old dog does not have heartworm after being left outdoors all that time with no heartworm preventative.
Today, she got all her shots and meds and is perfectly healthy, doesn't even have fleas.
She is also in heat, so she is scheduled to get fixed at the end of the month after it's over.
This dog is learning all her commands quickly, she does "watch me" all the time naturally so the training is going very easily.
The two dogs are doing well together which is not guaranteed with two female Pits, which means I don't have to take her!
Her name is now Nico, the dummy never even bothered to give the dog a name.

Thank you! Rimadyl guys. It’s extended his life beyond any doubt. 2-3 years ago he stopped going up and down stairs. Not any more. Fast forward to today he’s up on the couch when I get home from work.
Easy to see the anxiety and non happiness on the faces of dogs in shelters.
