Looks like naps after a long morning walk. :)

My three have big drinks of water and their treats, then curl up somewhere for a nice nap. Yesterday's afternoon walk in a 28°C heatwave, about 3 miles along the beach, required lie-downs on every shady patch of grass. Turned a normal one hour walk into 90 minutes. Tongues lolling fully out of the sides of their mouths, they inhaled their water when we got home. And then out-cold naps while I watched the end of the 8th stage of the Giro d'Italia. I envy their ability to sleep any time, anywhere.

Not from yesterday, but you get the idea.

Yes, this was after a walk and treats. Our walks are not as long, however, as the days warm up we walk every 90 minutes!

My wife and I are now celebrating 10 years with our adopted pup this month. When we got him, the poor guy was abused and beaten with broken ribs and a smashed ear from being kicked around by some A**Hole. We renamed him "Lucky Dog" since his life was going to take a turn for the better with plenty of love and comfort. Life is good now.

Hot and humid lazy Sunday afternoon and my rescues pups are acting like they worked all week.
The fat little white one is the youngest at 9, but she is blind so doesn't get much running in. The others are 16 and 19. the 19-year old was a complete mess when we got her, afraid of everything, but she turned out ok after a while. I have another young one, but we had a bit of thunder so she is buried under a couch or in a closet and I won't see her for a while. I'm about to ruin their day when I get the nail clippers out. Well, all but one, she won't even wake up while I do it. I wish I could sleep that soundly.

He can't say it, so I will. Thank you for making him a "Lucky Dog".
