I feel sad for your loss, and happy/grateful that the two of you had those wonderful 14 years.Lost my boy Loki today and I'm hurting a lot.
But thankful for fourteen years of sweet, gentle, stable, friendship.
He made me feel better than I had for some time and I will really miss him.
He also helped teach seven foster dogs how to be well behaved pets and be ready for the homes they went to.
He lived a long full life and I'm glad that I could give him what he deserved.
Doing some volunteer work for Pilot's N Paws. It is an organization where you fly animals from shelters to their new forever homes. Very rewarding for my wife and I when we see the smiles of the new owners when we reach our final destination.

I have always liked win-win scenarios. I forgot to mention that we first get permission from the ATC tower and then get cleared do a high speed test run on the runway without lifting off to make sure the dog won't freak out. We then get off on a taxi way and taxi back to the take off point. So far, never had a problem. I am thinking the pup is just happy to get out of the shelter and knows he/she is going somewhere new.Well done.. A rewarding job where everyone involved is a winner.
