That's why I could never be a foster. I'd want to keep every dog I fostered. Once attached, there's no letting go for me. That's kind of how I now have 3. I got close enough to a neighbor's newly rescued Chihuahua that I took him over when they were going to have to return him for another chiwayawaya with less energy. I've had him for 6 years now. He's totally bonded to my 10 year old Chihuahua-Italien Greyhound cross.Lol!
I had a fox terrier rescue that I agreed to keep "for a couple weeks" that stretched out to many years. She weighed all of 10 lbs, but could probably shed enough hair to cover a Clydesdale every day.
