He prefers the door left open so he can come and go as he pleases. But air conditioning is expensive. One of the few disagreements we have.

My sister's husband had a female pibull named Camilla who did the same exact thing for years and ended up with flat teeth. She loved her rocks! When I was growing up (age 8-20) we had a Black Lab Mix named Chooch that was crazy for rocks like this dog.
He chased and fetched and carried rocks his whole life, everything from small stones to cinder blocks like in the pic.
By the time he was ten years old, his teeth were worn flat, kind of looked like human teeth.
One of the reasons I would never have a Labrador, way too over the top focused on fetching something.
Side note: I learned on my last trip to the vet that dogs don't get cavities in their teeth. Now I'm thinking it's because they grind them down with rocks. My sister's husband had a female pibull named Camilla who did the same exact thing for years and ended up with flat teeth. She loved her rocks!
Our lab is broken or on strike. You throw a ball and he just looks up at you. But two houses away there’s a lab that harasses anyone in sight with a drooled up tennis ball.
It’s odd that they can be so different from one another. Then again, we humans are quite different from one another, even ones from the same family. It's funny you say that. My son and daughter in law have 2 golden retrievers. Apparently only one of them is aware of the "retriever" part. Pacha on the left wouldn't play fetch if you paid him, Cece on the right is a non-stop ball retrieving machine.
