Driving into the job site in the dark, I saw what thought was a dog running down the road. Turned out to be a Coyote with a limp cat in its mouth. I’ve seen a few more over the months on this job. Thriving in north Portland between the UP campus and the river.
Our little town is pretty rural and borders thousands of acres of wilderness. Coyotes, cougars, and bear are here, along with plenty of deer and smaller critters. Big owls and eagles too. We keep the cat in at night.
I feel much better walking with my dog out in the woods.
