Wow, a mix of two highly intelligent breeds, one very trainable and one very stubborn. What was his personality like?I had a great Pyrenees border collie mix. He was about 75 lb, lived to be 19 years old, is my profile picture, and was the greatest dog I have ever known. I miss him everyday. They are wonderful animals and they deserve good people. Someone will come along quickly and rescue these pups.

Maybe he just doesn't like wearing a tie?Wow, a mix of two highly intelligent breeds, one very trainable and one very stubborn. What was his personality like?
My dog is a cross between a Great Pyrenees and a Bernedoodle. Having grown up with a stubborn Akita mix and having learned how to get her to respond to me, I thought I'd be fine with a Pyr mix. Turns out he's much harder to train! He's very sweet though.

Who can blame him???Maybe he just doesn't like wearing a tie?![]()
Not me! When Motorola forcibly retired me in '04, I got rid of every monkey suit, dress shirt and tie that I owned. I've been free of them ever since.Who can blame him???
Dogs in sweaters works! Here we are in the elevator, heading out for a walk. If I'm out by myself, I get ZERO attention. With the puppers, I, well they, get plenty of attention.View attachment 4961226 Mr Pickle picked up a chick with his new sweater![]()
My buddy lives across the street from a park right on the beachfront where he goes for daily walks. When he walks alone, he gets no attention. When he is looking after our dog and walks him in the same park, ladies come up to him and start conversations. Yep, dogs are chick magnets.. If I'm out by myself, I get ZERO attention. That explains why our pup (rescue) can be so difficult! Lab/GP mix. She'll be one at the end of the month.Great Pyrenees are indeed awesome. My grandkids GP just passed away and was named Winter. They miss him so. Such a gentle giant.
Huh, good point. Maybe since I'm grooming him for the corporate world, I shouldn't have posted him in the "spoiled dog" thread to begin with...Maybe he just doesn't like wearing a tie?![]()

In downtown Chicago, we called it "fishing for chicks." A friend had a black puppy. We'd sit outside at this bar on State St. with our Big Lushes (terrific frozen margaritas) and spool the puppy out to the sidewalk if we saw a couple of cuties walking by. He would slowly spool the puppy back to us, bringing the chicks with him. Lots of fun!My buddy lives across the street from a park right on the beachfront where he goes for daily walks. Doggie Stink Eye?
Ha ha. Walter. And Sparky, Ollie and Peanut. Just because they've already had their morning/afternoon/evening treats doesn't stop them from asking for more.
