We had an old pitty girl that was kinda like that. She would go on a walk and was fine with it but did have a warning move. During the walk or day if she sat down that meant, “this is the halfway point.” Meaning we can sit here for a while but when we move again, its back to the house. If you ignored the sign, you would be carrying back a little 50 lbs. Pitbull back home. That mistake was only done once
