Recent photo from a local jazz club. Trombonist bring her dog to all gigs (companion I guess). She said the ear muffs supposedly are -20 dbs.

He doesn't appear to be enjoying that... at all. Plus, ear muffs are designed for human ears so I'd expect that a lot of noise is leaking through to his ultra sensitive hearing. Once again..... humans suiting themselves, and assuming that if they like something, then the dog has to as well.

If I had to guess, I'd guess service dog.

Also, there is hearing protection designed for dogs.
