He's an Anatolian Shepherd. The photo is from a breeder in Turkey. He's a particularly big one, and I suspect the man holding him up is pretty short.

Yup. Most dogs will take a lot from small kids. But the children had to know how to behave around dogs. Just because your dog may be tolerant of having their tail pulled, the guard dog behind the fence might not...

I posted in the other thread - Otto is making a great recovery. Stitches and staples came out yesterday, doc is pleased with how his knee is healing, and the cancer was sufficiently low level that they're not recommending chemo or radiation. All good news! Thanks all for your love and support.

This is Charlotte. 11 lbs. of boss-bitch. 50% rage/50% tremble.
We got her off the streets (literally). She was living rough as a tiny puppy. Still had placenta on her fur.
Charlotte and 'er indoors are bonded on a ridiculous level.
No trash can is safe. Smartest dog I ever met.
I don't do doggy kisses (unlike 'er indoors, and third born), but she tries every single day to kiss me.
This is Delilah. We got her from a rescue center. She has no wish to play, would be a fat dog if we allowed her to be, loves adventures, and loves nothing more than being petted. My son and Delilah are quite pathetic when they are together. Not sure who loves the other more. Same size, and approximate age to Charlotte. They play-fight and chase every day.
