The SX P-bass does NOT have a P-bass neck. Not even close. It's closer to a Jazz, probably somewhere in between the two. Definitely thinner than a Fender P.
wilfred said:ok great! P bass it will be. Thanks so much man.
Not mine. My Ursa 1 had a standard P-bass 1 5/8 inch neck width at the nut, and was fairly thick top to bottom. Not even close to a 1 1/2 inches Jazz type neck. The SX P-bass does NOT have a P-bass neck. Not even close. It's closer to a Jazz, probably somewhere in between the two. Make sure you don't form an opinion on it before you change the stock strings and set it up. Makes all the difference!!

Here it is (or rather was, I sold it to a friend who wanted to start bass, but I made him promise if he ever wanted to sell it to get another bass, I would get first crack at it):

Btw does anybody know the tuner hole size? That's the only thing i dont like about sx. The tuners are pretty crappy.
its not that I don't like or dig a pbass neck I really do like them, i just didn't know if the sx pbass necks were any thicker?
Beautiful bass BTW.
